What an experience! People ask why we do a sport that involves so much suffering and the best answer I've run across is that we do it for the occasional "peak experience". Competing in the Green Mountain Stage Race was a peak experience for me, and one of my proudest moments. Story here. I grabbed some shots of the action when I could, but not many as I was racing every day. I'm learning that it's not easy getting fast moving objects in focus, and a lot of these shots are out of focus (I don't think the Rebel is best for action photography). The pictures of my races mostly come from the spouses of other riders in my race.
